Shifman Reviens Belize Collection
by Dan Bray
Our King mattress/boxspring is the Reviens "Belize" Collection and our Queen mattress/boxspring is simply the Reviens Collection. The King retailed around $15,000 and was on sale for around $10,000, and the Queen retailed for around $7,000 and on sale for around $5,000. These were both purchased at Bloomingdales Orlando about 7 years ago. PROS: Both are very comfortable and plush. Both are double-sided for longer wear. CONS: Not sure if buying these even at the sale price was worth all that money, but one things for certain... I've never slept in a bed that was as comfortable including other people's houses, hotels & resorts, etc. They're extremely heavy to flip over, even at only twice a year. BMBG replies: Thanks for contributing Dan! Reviews of luxury mattresses are hard to find and always appreciated. We have to agree that the prices of some of the Shifman models at Bloomingdale's are truly astonishing. However, when you look at the care put into their construction and the quality of the materials used, it seems they just might be worth it. What it really comes down to is whether you can afford one of these hand crafted beauties without taking out a second mortgage on your home. If you've got the money to spare then why not? |
